Building on the success of last years Red Shield Weekender in Isabela, where we brought the first Dubstep Act to PR and the sounds of San Francisco’s “Hyphy” House, this year we continue to bring forth new ideas to a local audience.
As the name of the event implies, Cymatics, or the study of visible sound and vibrations, we will be presenting new technologies and interfaces for music creation along with various multimedia arts exhibitions throughout the week. It won’t however fall short of being a musical extravaganza characterized by freedom of style and structure pushing the limits of artistic expression. Music as we see it should be about always progressing while never forgetting and learning from the past, just not getting stuck in it and willing to take risks to take things to another level and perhaps create never before heard palettes of sound.
