Producer/Dj/Creative MAGNUM is the driving force behind the TEKADISKO label. His sound dwells within dark, heavy basslines, synth stabs and percussive drums and future house/bass/funky/tribal rhythms. After fiddling with music all of his life, he truly got his starts early this decade playing guitar with punk rock band Vic Vega & the Caligaris and post punkers Los Sonidos Distantes and from that, moved through countless projects and aliases (smck, Random Gonzalez, Flash Night, Overlord, La Ola Criminal) on to produce Hip Hop, IDM, Retro-Pop and later move on to put out massive electro bangers (Misterio) and finally settling for a bass heavy, future, groove oriented club sound, whatever that means…

The Magnum sound has been witnessed in major local stages and events alongside top acts: The Bloody Beetroots, Boys Noize, Steve Aoki, MSTRKRFT, Le Castlevania, LA Riots, Felix Cartal, DatA, Lazaro Casanova, Nadastrom, The Prodigy, The Crystal Method, Andi Thoma (Mouse on Mars), Toy Selectah, Nacotheque, Goldie, Photek, Bailey, Ed Rush & Optical, Roni Size, Dj Dara, and Adam F among many others.

For TEKADISKO he has produced events with guests Andi Thoma (Mouse on Mars), DatA and Nacotheque, and have held numerous events like Powder, Bang!, Street!, Madness, Buzz, Volume, the Friday the 13th themed party series and the infamous Discohell, all this while wrecking major events like Scion Next Fest ‘07 & ‘08 & Scion Reaction, Candela Art & Music Fest ‘06, ‘07 & ‘08, Ecliptica Show @ Puerto Rico High Fashion Week ‘08, Stereo Festival I & II, Medalla Light Yellowpass ‘09, Yellow Halloween ‘08 & ‘09 & Showcase ‘10 & PR Electronic Music Fest @ Las Cuevas de Camuy among many others. He’s also tore some woofers in PR’s top clubs and spots: PR Convention Center, Pier 10, The Vatican, Kronos, Pagana, Jet, Cheers (formerly Costabar) and Pink Skirt, to name a few.

On 2008, his remix for “DatA – Rapture (Flash Night Discoballz Remix)” under alias Flash Night made the final picks on the official remix contest for the single, the epic “Starcrash (Nathan Vice Remix)” was playlisted by The Crystal Method in their Community Service Radio Show in L.A., and a more recent production got some airplay at RINSE FM (UK), while his music and label have been raved about in various blogs such as Electrorash (AU), Valerie (FR), Neonized (SP) and Palms Out Sounds (US). Now in 2010 he has joined forward thinking, club music label Nightshifters, run by DJ Donna Summer and Jubilee for an upcoming EP and also released a track in Dutty Artz New York Tropical Comp under his alias “La Ola Criminal”.

His professional portfolio for his newborn company SONIDO SISTEMA includes musical production work for local Feature Films and Tv Ads such as Party Time: The Movie, Axe Bodyspray and Gasolina Urban Blends and collaborations with Superaquello, Davila 666 & Wilkins. He is also currently doing Creative Direction and Graphic Design for TEKADISKO, C787STUDIOS & C787RADIO/TV which he hosts and co-produce, as well as developing many other as of yet secret projects.
